Our consulting services are tailored to meet your need and budget.
Whether your project is large or small, we can help. We often have cost-effective, pragmatic solutions to complex problems and welcome you to draw upon our years of studio design and building experience. We evaluate and offer recommendations on issues of room acoustic response, acoustic treatments, sound leakage, room design, feasibility studies for new or remodel construction, and other sound control matters. We provide letters of recommendation and relevant product information related to your project. We work with clients locally, nationally, as well as internationally.
If you are in our local area (within a 10-mile radius), we will make an on-site visit and spend up to 90 minutes on-site to discuss conditions and gather the necessary information to aid you with your project. For those projects outside our local area, we are available via teleconferencing or Zoom Meetings and ready to receive pictures, videos, and plans, including dimensions, via email, dropbox, and even via courier service.
RATES
Initial On-Site Consultation:
- – Up to 90 minutes at the project site or desired meeting location
- – Travel Time
- Within a 10-mile radius, no additional charge
- Outside a 10-mile radius, billed at $125.00 per hour
- – Review existing conditions of doors, windows, floor, ceiling, etc.
- Does not include exploratory inspection
- Limited to visible and apparent conditions at the time of the consultation
- The consultant does not perform any invasive procedures and is not required to enter any inaccessible area
- – Take initial measurements of project space
- – Discuss the project, budget, and recommended project phases
- – Upon request, SCR will provide a letter of recommendation and relevant product information
- – Additional Consultation Time is available beyond the 90-minute mark
- Billed at $250.00 per hour
- – Design nor Plans are not included in the Initial Consultation.
- Drawings may be requested and are billed separately
Initial Consultation for Out-of-Area Clientele:
- – Up to 90 minutes, via telephone, email, Zoom , or any combination
- – This includes reviewing existing plans, photos, and other project information provided
- – Discuss the project, budget, and recommended project phases
- – Upon request, SCR will provide a letter of recommendation and relevant product information
- – On-Site visits are available for an additional fee.
- Travel Fee based on project location
- Travel Agreement sent upon approval
- – Additional Consultation Time is available beyond the 90-minute mark
- Billed at $250.00 per hour
- – Design nor Plans are not included in the Initial Consultation.
- Additional items may be requested and are billed separately
Remote Access Consultations:
SCR offers Remote Access Consultations for those projects that need a little tweaking. Have your consultation from the comfort of your home, office, or project site via telephone, e-mail, or Zoom. It’s that simple. Billed in 30-minute increments, the charge for this service is $125.00 per increment.
The current lead time for a Remote Access Consultation appointment is 2-3 business days. Please call our office at 818-788-1238 to book your appointment.
We recommend all project photos, plans, dimensions, budgets, goals, and expectations be emailed to us at least 48 hours before the appointment. Please email the requested information to inform@soundcontrolroom.com.
